I have written these poems especially for teenagers - a time of many and varied choices. Unfortunately, not all the choices made will result in positive or happy lives.

It seems that there are so many who seem to have little parental or adult guidance. From my experience I see beyond the 'it's only a phase' aspect of teenage behaviour to the devastating effects that the reckless excesses, seen at the current time, can result in.

I worked for 35 yrs as a psychiatrist/psychotherapist to help people to regain happiness and fulfilment after traumas they could not avoid and which were mainly not of their own doing. Prevention of long lasting damage to our young people should be a priority.

I am committed to getting this message across to parents, teachers, children and teenagers and I need everyone's help!

The 129 poems address many important issues - ( see list of poems file - above ) - in particular behaviour and its consequences and the difficulties and uncertainties which teenagers face -for example with their image and with peergroup pressures to indulge in unsafe or damaging practices. Many are metaphorical stories, and she writes with humour.
