Most of these are therapeutic and ultimately optimistic poems about the journey through and often from the darkness of many experiences of life into the 'light of healing'. I first started writing this selection of poems to help specific patients - as an 'aid to psychotherapy'. I used those with metaphorical and rhyming verse to help elicit emotion or allow patients to see their problems in a different way, so enabling them to begin to heal.
